Chef's Corner: Craft Table and Tap
By Kelsey Sorenson
They say their food isn’t fussy. But if you’re a lover of prime pub fare, you’ll find plenty to fuss over at Middleton’s newest gastronomical offering, Craft Table and Tap.
At the table the emphasis is on American staples done right. A menu of mouth-watering burgers, slow-roasted meats and killer sandwiches topped with homemade sauces (including the Reuben pictured here), showcases a simple philosophy: to craft tasty cuisine from quality ingredients. “[It’s] what our grandparents used to do 75 years ago, and what people have forgotten about,” Chef Pete Manfredini explains.
At the tap, the restaurant offers a slew of brews, including 18 tap beers and over 50 bottled varieties, alongside a cocktail list of local staples like a Bloody Mary that is a meal in itself. Whatever you choose, you’ll find a menu full of Wisconsin favorites, done just the way you like them.
Craft Table and Tap is located at 6712 Frank Lloyd Wright Ave., Middleton; (608) 836-3988 or crafttableandtap.com.
