The Free House Pub

By Cammy Albert

The Free House Pub is all about simple pleasures. Located in the heart of Middleton, this new eatery offers easy all-American favorites with a local twist.

Owner Tim Thompson raises the stakes on traditional dishes by adding local flair to familiar favorites—even a standard burger or turkey sandwich taste new when loaded with locally produced toppings while hearty healthy dishes like the avocado salad (pictured) are executed to perfection.

From the fare on the table to the atmosphere indoors and out, Thompson is focused on creating a space where customers can kick back, take it all in, and leave with a full stomach and a smile. “Either people are going to leave here happy or we haven’t done our jobs right,” he says.

By adding weekly live music, seasonal cocktails and a beer menu that promises to keep you on your toes, this suburban haunt promises big-city dining with local charm.

The Free House Pub is located at 1902 Parmenter St., Middleton; (608) 831-5000 or freehousepub.com.
