Abitz works to raise awareness that women diagnosed with breast cancer need support not only while they’re undergoing medical treatment, but after treatment ends as well. Her work with BCRF supports Infinite Boundaries — a retreat program that helps women deadl with the range of emotions that often accompany a breast cancer diagnosis — sadness, anger and the fear the cancer will return.

Michelle Heitzinger

Heitzinger works to provide a wealth of current information and resources for breast health and breast cancer both here in Madison and Dane County as well as nationally. Funds raised support community outreach and education programs and help develop programs with partner organizations in the community.

Julie McKy
Nominee, Madison Woman of the Year
Diagnosed with breast cancer herself, McKy is a true advocate, volunteering to raise money for various area causes.

Fiona McTavish

As a researcher at UW-Madison, McTavish advocates on behalf of women with breast cancer and passionately fights the disease through her work.
